President, Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA
Patrick Zammit was promoted to president, Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) in October, 2006, reporting to Harley Feldberg, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing. Mr. Zammit previously served as president of EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company.
Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA consists of a group of highly specialized electronic components divisions. EBV Elektronik, Silica and Avnet Memec are independently operating semiconductor specialists; Avnet Abacus (formerly Avnet Time) specializes in interconnect, passive, electromechanical and power supply components; and Avnet Israel and Avnet Kopp (South Africa) are electronic component distributors.
Mr. Zammit began his career at Avnet in 1993 in management positions including finance director, Avnet France, and both director of operations and chief financial officer of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA. He was elected a corporate officer in 2000.
Prior to joining Avnet, Mr. Zammit served as a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen from 1989 to 1993.
He graduated from the E.S.L.S.C.A Business School with an MBA. He is fluent in English and German as well as French, which is his native language. He is based in Brussels, Belgium.
